DragonLog is a training logbook for dragon boat and outrigger crews, on iPhone, Apple Watch, Android, Wear OS and the web. This page explains what the app collects, why, and how you can get it removed. If you want the short version: we collect what's needed to run a shared team logbook — your name, some paddling stats, and GPS-derived pace/distance — and nothing beyond that. No ads, no analytics trackers, no selling data.

What we collect

Heart rate From your Apple Watch or Wear OS watch, while a piece is running	Shown live next to your name on your crew's roster so a coach can see effort during a piece. It isn't saved with your session history.
Team data Team membership, practice RSVPs, boat seating assignments, and the practice plans and team workouts coaches create	Lets coaches schedule and run practices, see who's coming, and set the lineup.
Push notification token A device identifier issued by Apple/Google	Lets us deliver notifications (e.g. a released roster) when the app isn't open.

About your GPS data

The full-resolution GPS track from a session never leaves your device. What syncs to the team logbook is a summary — total distance, average pace, stroke rate, and up to a handful of split times. Session history is capped at your 20 most recent runs; older ones are dropped automatically.

What we don't do

• No advertising or ad networks
• No analytics or tracking SDKs
• No selling or renting your data to anyone
• No access to your data by other teams — only your own crew can see it

Where it's stored

Data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud), the infrastructure provider behind the app's account sign-in, database, and notifications. Google processes it on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments — we don't share it with any other third party.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account yourself, in the app: Account → Delete my account (on the web, it's on your profile screen). Confirming your password permanently removes your profile and your login, plus your roster entry, saved session summaries, attendance, seat assignments and weight in every team we can still identify you in.

Two honest limits. First, a team you joined only from the Android or iOS app — or on a different browser — may not be reachable by that automatic sweep: teams are keyed by a name we can't look up from your account alone, so your name and session summaries can remain in that team's records. Second, attendance for a practice starting within the next 24 hours is locked and can't be withdrawn by the app. In either case, email us (below) with the team name and we'll finish the job by hand.

If you're a coach, tell us which team so we can also confirm what happens to shared practice and roster data.

Without the app: email us using the button below with the display name you use in DragonLog, the email address linked to your account if you added one, and your team name. We'll delete your account and the data listed above, normally within 30 days, and confirm by email.

Children's privacy

DragonLog isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. Many crews do include junior paddlers — in that case, the team's coach or a parent should be the one setting up and managing that paddler's account.

Changes to this policy

If this changes in any meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
